I met Monica & Martin way back in 2006 when I first shot their engagement portraits at Pier 39 in San Francisco. After shooting their wedding in 2007 and their first son, Cruz, last year, I came back last week to shoot Joaquin, the newest member of the family!!

I met Jessica when she took my Moms with Cameras class this past January. This morning, Joy and I drove down to Brisbane, South San Francisco, to photograph her adorable baby, Emma. Emma is a 9 month old sweetheart and full of life and curiosity. What a fun age to photograph!

Chris O’Donnell on Ellen Degeneres

I met Chris O’Donnell back when I was living in Los Angeles and working in the film industry. He and I have always remained friends, and I have been photographing his family for years. You can see most of the shoots here:

Late last year, I photographed Chris’ family once again. Because my beloved Olive had just passed away, I made sure to take the time to photograph their family dog, Kimmie, who was almost 11 years old. I grabbed Chris and had him sit with her so that he would be sure to have photographs of his pet after she was gone. Last month, Chris was on the Ellen Degeneres Show talking about his daughter, Lily, and his dog, Kimmie. It was fun to see my photographs featured on a huge screen behind him! I grabbed a few screen captures so you could see it here:

Noa & Phil had a lovely afternoon wedding at the stunning Calistoga Ranch. Because they are from Washington DC, this was a destination wedding for them and most of their guests. Theirs was an intimate event, and everyone who attended was someone very special. After she saw Phil for their first look, Noa could not stop smiling for the rest of the day. Despite the rain in the morning, it was a very sunny occasion. And I LOVED that they served my favorite meal: Brunch!

Big Blu Soul Revue

If you know me at all, you know that one of my favorite things to do is to go see bands play live. My favorite is seeing bands play in very small venues. Last night I had so much fun photographing Big Blu Soul Revue at Grant and Green in San Francisco. If you have a chance to watch them play out, I highly recommend it! They were a blast and so good!

Pysanky 2013

I have been making pysanky with my friends and family for many years. Each year, I blog a collage of photos from that year’s eggs, but this year I decided to try something new and use my Canon Mark II to make a video! This was shot with my 45mm tiltshift and 100mm macro lens. So fun!!

I have known Tiffany for years. The first time I photographed her was back in 2005 so she could have some cute head shots to use for her website. Tiffany is also a photographer and does beautiful work which you can check out by clicking here. I was very flattered when she asked me to photograph her growing family this weekend. I chose to shoot at Lake Temescal in Oakland because I think its so beautiful and there is a lot of variety without having to do a lot of walking around. At nearly 8 months pregnant, I thought Tiffany might appreciate that!

I met Karen & Jack when I shot their wedding in 2009. This is now my second shoot with Baby Jack since he arrived last year. There will be one more shoot with him for his first birthday before we put together his “Baby’s First Year” book. I thought he was cute as a newborn…. check him out at 6 months!!

Connie & Alex hired me over the phone last year, so I was excited to finally meet them on their wedding day. I was happy to learn they were using Kelley Lee Gin of Picture Perfect Events to produce their wedding because she is not only fun and easy to work with, but has amazing taste: the perfect fit for Connie & Alex who are incredibly stylish! The day was gorgeous and everyone was in a really good mood. Connie told me she loved my eye and let me have a lot of time to shoot portraits and get everything I needed to help her make an amazing wedding album. I LOVED her gown and the “flash mob” dance that the entire bridal party busted out after the grand entrance!!
