Another reason I was in LA this weekend was for James & Karen’s engagement shoot…it was a lot of driving, but worth it!

Beverly Hills engagement session

Stephanie & Roger are getting married at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in one month and really wanted a custom guest book designed with their engagement pictures for the big day. The only caveat – we hadn’t done an engagement session yet! They both live in LA, but my schedule hadn’t allowed me to get down there until just this past weekend. I knew we could get it done! I had a wedding on Sunday at the Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills, so on Monday we got together at Tarte Tatin, one of their favorite places to go together. We then headed to the cute park at the Montage Beverly Hills with an outfit change. Once the shoot was done, I handed the files to my wonderful editor, Jessica, who also lives in LA. She finished them that night and, thanks to the ease of the Pictage album editor, I designed a book the next day. The book is designed with a lot of empty space so guests have room to write their well-wishes. Stephanie & Roger loved it, so its already going to print. done and done!! Fastest turn around EVER. I’m so proud of me.

San Francisco Engagement Portrait

Joy and I met the lovely Vy and Leonard when we participated in the first San Francisco A Soolip Wedding in March. I am really excited to shoot their upcoming wedding at the Fairmont in San Francisco….but first, we spent the afternoon together and shot in a few places around the city for their engagement portrait.

They chose to start at the Balboa Cafe because it was the location of their first kiss… very romantic. I LOVE it when my couples choose places that have some significance to them. This will make their photographs so much more meaningful as the years go on. We headed to the Palace of Fine Arts and ended up at Crissy Field so we could get some San Francisco views as well as the Golden Gate Bridge.

I think my favorite part of the day was listening to Leonard rave about how gorgeous Vy is. She is so lucky to have such a thoughtful man!! Love you, guys!! Can’t wait for the wedding!

Los Angeles engagement shoot

When I was down in Los Angeles two weeks ago, I spent a few hours with the darling Marie & Hailin. We had a great time just hanging out and getting casual shots to celebrate their engagement. You two are really fun to shoot, and I can’t wait for your Ebell Theater wedding in September!

I love this shot since Hailin has been living in NYC!

After posting Heather & Brad’s Bimbo’s 365 Club wedding sneak peek I realized I never blogged about their very cool film noir engagement shoot! Since from the shoot we designed a guestbook for all of the wedding guests to sign, I have decided to show you a few of my favorite pages from that book. The guestbooks are designed with a lot of white space so that guests have room to sign their well wishes to the happy couple.

San Francisco Engagement portraits

Kristina & Brady originally contacted me because they wanted engagement portraits in San Francisco. However, when I found out they were getting married next year in St. Thomas, I had to have them come into the studio so I could show her why I was the right photographer for that job! I just adore this couple, and I’m so excited to say that I’m shooting their St. Thomas wedding next May!!!

Florida photographer, Lana Williams, of Lana Williams Photography and her husband, Chan, celebrated their six year wedding anniversary by traveling out to San Francisco. Lana recently joined my favorite company, Pictage, and when she told them she wanted to find a photographer to shoot her and Chan having fun on the town, they told her about me! (Thanks, Pictage!)

I’m SO very glad they did, because we had a great time tooling around Union Square and Delores Park getting fun urban shots together. Here are a few favorites of mine:

I recently shot the cutest engagement portrait around the Bay Bridge and the Ferry Building for Kristina & Yosh. They are just about the smileyest cutest couple one could hope for!! Excited for their wedding at Wente Winery later this year!!

Fort Point Engagement Shoot

I am so excited to shoot Ilene & Jeff’s wedding at Rancho Las Lomas later in August. I met Ilene when I shot her twin sister, Irene’s, beautiful Camarillo Ranch Wedding last year.

For their engagement shoot, Ilene & Jeff wanted something that offered a city yet outdoorsy feel, so we chose to start at Point Fort in San Francisco and make our way over to Crissy Field. They were quite the troopers that day as it was SO blowy out! LOVE the shots we got.. here are some favorites:
