So at my November 11th PUG I said I wanted to start doing more charity work. The very next day, my friend, Roberto Valenzuela, sent me an email asking if I would be interested in being the photographer for the Best Friends Animal Society Pet Adoption Day at the La Brea Tar Pits. Being completely obsessed with my own dog, Olive, I was really excited to do it. I didn’t realize how heart breaking the event would be for me. Every pet wore a little shirt or bandana that said “Adopt Me” that just got me so choked up. (It kind of reminded me of the episode in “Freaks & Geeks” where Bill whispers “pick me pick me!” every time they choose teams for P.E….that always made me well up a little.) I wanted to take every single pet home.
