I’m so proud of my sister Joy for getting her first article published with the New York Institute of Photography!
Her article is the first in a series on photographing children — this one is on the very newest kind, the newborn! We did a Photo Ignite presentation on this very subject a few years ago at the worlds largest photography convention, Wedding and Photographers Portrait International (WPPI) and this inspired Joy to do the series for NYIP!
Make sure to stay tuned for all the articles — it will cover newborns through teenagers and I think you’ll find it to be quite informative!

Today’s engagement shoot in San Francisco was particularly fun because not only was it a gorgeous day, but we spent part of it at the Seward Slides!! (Yes, even I tried it after I was done shooting. I went FAST.) Susannah & Radu are really goofy and easy to be around, and we can’t wait to shoot their wedding at the Golden Gate Club this September!
My oldest niece, Penny, has been playing guitar for years and loves Taylor Swift and Harry Potter. She is entering a music video contest and will be playing Taylor Swift’s “Everything has Changed” about a girl who is in love with Harry Potter. Here are some screen captures of what we’ve shot so far!! Yours truly makes a cameo as her photo shoot photographer!!!
