Puerto Vallarta Destination Wedding Sneak Peek

After such a crazy schedule this past month, Joy and I decided to stay in Mexico for one extra day just to relax. And what am I doing on my day off? Yes, blogging for you. Here is a little sneak peek from yesterday's suuuuper fun wedding!!

This is where the family is staying.. and where WE are staying! The family rented four villas next door to each other and invited us to stay there with them. It is absolutely unbelievable here.

Matching tatts

This is at the villa where the bridal party stayed... another gorgeous spot.

I love this one that Joy shot of the ceremony from above. THANK YOU for coming with me, Joy! You are the BEST travel companion EVER. This has been so fun!

Moms with Cameras Workshop in Walnut Creek

This month is FLYING by. You can already see the blog is behind... its just gonna get worse before it gets better!

The workshop I held this Thursday was our most packed out one yet! I really love teaching photography to people. If you have an SLR camera and just want to make it do what you want it to, get a group together and I'll come give the workshop in your town! (Not restricted to Moms! We had a Dad at this one, and he was a very nice addition to the group.)

Thank you to Kolo Albums (Please check out their new Facebook Page) who provided every mom with a cute Noci photo album, and to Tamrac Bags who provided adorable point and shoot camera cases from their new Safari collection for everyone. Thank you to our wonderful host, Silvia, who provided her home for us to meet in. And once again, thank you to my sister, Joy, for putting the whole thing together!

May got skipped on my blog since I was out of town and didn't get to attend last month's PUG when Joe Buissink was the speaker. (I heard it was great, though.)

This month, I want to thank Shani Barel of Don't Smile Now Photography for being our Studio Spotlight and Justin Kifer for sharing a little bit about his online-business management software, Gigbooks, with us!

And thank you to June Ungaro for taking this cute pic of me and Marty.

Check out Heather's PRETTY bling.

I loved the bow on Heather's gown.

The Hidden Garden found a beautiful brooch for the bouquet to match the Jimmy Choos!

Heather's mom helped her get ready...

...and her dad hung out with Steven.

I like this one of Heather hiding around the corner while Steven went to the staircase for their first look.

First look... so fun!

I like how the peacock's mirror Heather and Steven here. Such pretty color, too!

Lovely ladies.

Handsome gents.

The party people! Aren't the gowns so pretty?

Lovely Heather

Suave Steven

A little peek at the Jimmy Choos!

Don't Heather's lashes look lush here? She has make-up artist Tara Dowburd-Luftmann to thank for that!

Just before the ketubah signing...

The Hidden Garden did this amazing design on the aisle. I LOVED it!

Getting married!

Mrs & Mrs....I love this one that Shannon got as they raced down the aisle toward their new life together!

The gorgeous ballroom - fantastic coordination by Tobey Dodge!

First dance.

I LOOOVE the hora! So much fun! It does look kinda scary to be up in those chairs....

The Sweet Spot did a GREAT job on the candy station. Everything matched Heather's color scheme of cream, gold and silver.

Cutting the cake...goodnight!

Santa Monica Pier Engagement Portraits

Let's call this one The Blue Post. You'll see what I mean as you check it out.

I have been wanting to do a night shoot with the ever-changing lights of the Ferris Wheel on the Santa Monica Pier for a while now. Sarah & Arnold were a fun couple who like to play and be on the beach, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity. We started the shoot at 7pm so we could take advantage of the pretty late afternoon light, but it didn't take long for the lights of the Ferris Wheel turned on. (Thank you to Marty for coming along to help hold the light.)

I am really looking forward to Sarah & Arnold's Coyote Hills Wedding this November!
