I have known Gabe’s Mom, Judith, for a long time, so I was really excited to head back to the Bay Area to photograph Gabe’s big day last month. We started at The Congregation B’Nai Tikvah for family portraits and a few shots at the alter, and then headed to the Renaissance Club Sport in Walnut Creek for the party! Mitzvah’s are always a ton of fun for me because its full of games and good music and happy kids. And my favorite part, my sister, Joy, and my niece, Millie, came to shoot with me!
Check out a few of my favorite shots from the day:
Here in Portland, Oregon, I am part of a local photography group that meets twice a month to talk shop or craft. This week we did a head shot swap to play with lighting, lenses and posing. There was not enough time for all of us to shoot each other, but here are a few favorites of the local photographers I did pair up with, Hector Salazar, Amanda Sharma, Beth Olsen and Eric DePangher. What a fun morning!
This is my fourth year shooting on the Berkeley campus for the UC Berkeley School of Information’s online Master of Information and Data Science program. While it is an online program, there is an on-campus immersion which brings together students from all over the country. This immersion is an opportunity for students to network, socialize and hear from leaders in the field of data science. My job this year was to photograph specific students – both for portraits and using technology. Its a fun job!
